‘God’ assemblys
Ok, this week
I am furious about a certain ChRiStIaN activity that goes on in schools
throughout the country and in my own.
Assembly, at
school. A time for quiet reflection upon the activities of the day- backed up
with some well chosen morale or a few words from our respected teachers.
The above
refuse, is what is told to us each week by the teacher in command. However, it
seems that the only way to quietly reflect upon oneself- is to indulge in
Christian ceremony.
I would not be
so stupid as to begin to moan about events to which I need not subject myself-
howeverm I would like to make a point on behalf of atheists, and agnostic
school children throughout the nation.
Unless you
specifically write to the headmaster with your conflicting religious views
(which I could do but choose not to, so I can observe what it being done), you
are forced to be subjected to an array of religious brainwashing and
propoganda. Since an early age, everyone has been told that you must bow your heads
and say ‘Amen’ when the call for prayer is given- Half the sheep there don’t
even know what it means! They simply do it because they are told to. If I did
write and tell the headmaster that I was a Satanist- they’d probably give me a
public exorcism in assembly anyway- such are their all-embracing views on
society.
Some of the
stupid things that they tell you are amazing. The other day some people were
singing the hymns ‘too loudly’ and so were repremanded because they were being
‘disrespectful to God’ (I personally do not sing their stupid little propoganda
songs). One teacher even tries to show people how stupid they are for thinking
that God does not exist- and always fails miserably but thinks he has converted
the masses.
I think that if we have
to have Christian assemblies then we should also have, islam, sikh, jew, wicca,
satanism etc. ones. Its only fair that our ‘spiritual education’ should not be
simply directed along the paths of that of the teachers. We also have to go to
church at the end and start of certain terms. This is so out of order- what
gives them the right? It should be voluntary to be taken into a place of
worship. I could almost burn the church down whith the raw hate that I feel
when I am subjected to by one of the people- most deserving of hanging- THE REVEREND MORGAN JONES. He is so addicted to Jesus and probably even believes
that he is doing the right thing- how brain dead must he be?
